Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 5, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how HeyPaddy ("we", "us", "the app") collects, uses and protects your information when you use https://heypaddy.app.
1. Information we collect
When you sign in with Google, we receive and store:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your Google account ID and profile picture
We also store the content you create in the app, such as tasks, projects, expenses, budgets, income, habits and settings, so it can sync across your devices.
If you choose to connect Google Calendar, HeyPaddy:
- creates a separate calendar named "HeyPaddy" in your Google account and adds, updates and removes events in it for your tasks, payments due, subscription renewals and project deadlines;
- reads events from your other calendars only to show them to you inside the app. We do not store the contents of those events;
- stores, on our server only, the access credential Google issues for this connection, the ID of the "HeyPaddy" calendar, and the IDs of the events the app created, so it can keep them up to date. This credential is never sent to your browser or shared with anyone.
2. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account and sign you in
- To store and sync your tasks, projects and budget data
- To show and manage your calendar events inside the app, at your request
- To contact you about your account or important changes to the service
We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties for marketing.
AI companion. When you talk to the companion, your message and a summary of your tracker data (tasks, projects, expenses, habits, learning items, check-ins and things you asked it to remember) are sent to Google, which provides the Gemini AI model, to generate the reply. If you ask about news or resources, the companion searches the web (Bing News, Google News or Google Search) using only your question, not your tracker data. While the app uses Gemini's free tier, Google may use this content to improve its products, and it may be reviewed by people. Google Calendar data is never sent to the AI. The companion only uses your data when you open it or send it a message, and your conversation history is stored with your account so it can remember context.
News and reminders. Once a day, the topics of your learning items (for example “AI”) are searched on Bing News, and the headlines found are sent to Gemini for a one-line summary; no other tracker data is included. If you turn on notifications, your browser's push service (from Google, Apple, Mozilla or Microsoft, depending on your browser) delivers short reminders written from your tasks, habits, check-ins and learning items. If you turn on the morning email, your email address and that day's summary are sent through Resend, our email provider. You can turn each of these off in Settings.
If you pay for Pro, the payment is handled by Paystack on its own page. Your card or bank details go to Paystack and never reach us. We keep your payment reference, the amount, the date, how you paid (for example card or bank transfer) and your subscription status, so we can switch Pro on and off correctly.
If you send feedback from the app, we keep your message, the rating if you gave one, your email address, the page you were on, your browser and the app version. It is read by the owner of the app and may be emailed to them, and is used only to improve the app and to reply to you.
If you save links to watch later, we keep the address, the title, the categories and the note you gave each one, so they show on all your devices. When you save or open a link, our server may visit that address to follow a short link to its real address and read its title; nothing else from the page is kept. Videos and posts are shown with each site's own player, so that site can see you opened them, as it would anywhere else.
3. Google API Services User Data Policy
HeyPaddy's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is used only to provide user-facing features of the app, is never used to train AI or machine-learning models, and is never transferred to others except as needed to provide the service, comply with the law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with your notice.
4. Where your data is stored
Your account information and app data are stored securely with our database provider, Supabase. The app is hosted on Vercel. These providers process data only on our behalf.
5. Data retention and deletion
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can disconnect Google Calendar at any time in Settings, which deletes the stored Google credential and can also delete the "HeyPaddy" calendar. You can ask us to delete your account and all associated data at any time by emailing support@devtonic.info. You can also revoke HeyPaddy's access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account permissions page.
6. Security
We use industry-standard measures, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections and access-controlled databases, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data.
7. Children's privacy
HeyPaddy is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
